A. University of Illinois at Springfield/Southern Illinois University/Eastern Illinois University
Q. Where did you grow up?
A. I lived in rural Nokomis area/Christian County
Q. What made you want to be a teacher?
A. I knew for certain that I wanted to teach while being around students when I was a secretary at NHS. But prior to that while working for the Department of Agriculture ASCS, I trained temporary help. I enjoyed helping them learn their job.
Q. How many years have you been teaching?
A. 18 years
Q. What did you study in college?
A. English/composition, instructional technology, and educational leadership/administration
Q. If you had a million dollars, what would you spend it on?
A. Solve world hunger?? Or in this economy, buy a tank of gas to get to school?? Seriously, pay bills, travel more with my family, and buy even more materials/incentives for my classroom and students :-)
Q. What was the fashion trend when you were in high school?
A. The 70s--fringed bell bottoms, long straight hair, peace signs and tie dye
Q. What's your favorite sport?
A. Summer baseball--nothing like sports in the spring. (Go Cardinals!)
